what i need to know i could learn by driving in my car and meeting people i wouldnt normally get to meet. college seems like such a waste sometimes. yeah, i guess it is cool that i know that there are 3 isomers of pentane and i can find the pressure it takes for a popcorn kernel to burst. but what is that gonna do.

Now for more of me being pissed off.

Also, when did bands stop worrying about making really good music and being creative and start being 5 year old children that like to argue and use the stage that we so graciously pay to watch them on to make fun of other bands. It's so lame. Why are bands that have been around forever and have been doing well without mtv now using it. WHY? Because they see that bands that sound like them (but are not nearly as good... just jumping on the band wagon) are doing well on mtv and they are like, "hey, lets stop worrying about our fans and lets make some money so we dont have to eat taco bell every night". I dont know where i am going with any of this but i want to complain. I want people to read this and say, "shit, he is right". I guess what i want to say is the "scene" is starting to suck. It used to be fun. Bands used to care about music. Websites used to just be for posting about ALL bands and having positive things to say about them. Now only certain bands get any mention on these sites and it is all drama anyhow. its all politics. and it has ruined my fun. Now everyone is just trying to outdue everyone and it is ruining what used to be good. Also, everyone is out to brag about being emo/punk. If you actually are either one of those things i think you would actually have enough tact to just let people figure it out for themselves and be CONTENT with knowing that you know who you are and that is all that matters. I hate when people want to declare what they are. People all around the college i go to always mention how they are vegetarian or an activist or anything else and they only want attention. ARGH.

Disclaimer: this post was not directed towards any xanga member or anyone else i know. This is just a general consensus that i have come up with. Odds are if you talk to me on xanga i like you and dont care what you are as long as you are a cool person. Dont take this seriously but make it a point to understand that life isnt all about making yourself noticed, its about being happy doing what you are doing no matter what other people think.
